Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen Principal,
Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar
Dear young ladies,
I feel overjoyed in extending a warm welcome to all the youthful and vibrant members of HMV family aboard this virtual journey into the incredible world of flora and fauna of HMV campus.
e-TREE is an electronic compilation of flora and fauna of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar. The Repository of Ecological Exploration (e-TREE) of the campus aims to build up the database on various species of plants and animals found in the campus. The database will be continually updated and expanded to encompass the plants of the region and state as well. All the students and staff have an access to the database so that they may understand and appreciate the rich biodiversity of their serene environs and live in harmony with nature.
Many awards, honours and recognitions stand a testimony to our incredible efforts to work towards a sustainable system and also provide a motivation for us to push our bar of excellence further and strive harder to nourish young minds so that they keep pace with an incipient knowledge culture and also learn to maintain the balance of ecosystem.
e-TREE is a distinctive pedagogical tool for the students of Life Sciences and Ecology as it delves deeper into realms of holistic growth to prepare the students for their journey ahead. However, the application of this digital database is not limited to Botanists, Zoologists of Life Scientists, it is quite useful for large parts of society, from professionals to the general public and nature lovers.
I congratulate the entire team of HMV e-TREE for this unique venture and sincerely wish that this platform will revitalize student interest and contribution in Life Sciences and reinforce the belief that the best and richest classroom is rooted only by the Sky. Once again, I shower my affectionate greetings on the promising intellects and promise that the portals of HMV will help you realize your potential and become valuable contributors to the society.
